Development Coordinator
Congratulations to Mandi Davis for being selected as Broken Leg Theater’s new Development Coordinator!
Broken Leg Theater is a non-fee based 501(c)3 non-profit community theater that strives to give everyone quality experiences in the performing arts. As a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, including our Executive Board, we rely on donations from the community we serve to carry out our mission of providing high quality theater experiences to all, whether it be on stage or in the audience.
Broken Leg Theater sought a focused, highly motivated, and results oriented Development Coordinator to perform community outreach, collect funds, coordinate, and maintain donor/sponsor packages, and work closely with other leads within BLT to further fundraising projects, events, and campaigns that support BLT in continuing to provide quality theatre to our community no matter a person’s station in life, gender, identity, race, orientation, age, abilities, or financial status.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate gift prospects, including individuals and philanthropic businesses within the community or online.
- Develop and implement direct fundraising strategies to meet and exceed fundraising targets, with a focus on major gifts.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Collaborate with the Broken Leg Theater Board to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
- Represent Broken Leg Theater professionally in various settings, including virtual or in-person meetings, and on social media.
- Maintain benefit packages for donors and sponsors.
- Ensure that thank you notes are sent to sponsors/donors in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that ads/thank yous for sponsors/donors are honored in the programs.
- Coordinate and manage fundraising events and opportunities for BLT (ex: annual chili cook-off)
- Collect opt out/ad fees and maintain lists of paid/not paid during productions.
